American Advertising Federation - Louisville Presents 2015 Louie Awards Gala

Louisville’s premiere creative competition promises a night to remember


The American Advertising Federation - Louisville (AAF-Louisville) is excited to announce the date of the 2015 Louie Awards Gala. The annual celebration will be at the Seelbach on February 20, 2015. Between the entry viewing and cocktail hour, the dinner and awards show, and the after party sponsored by Four Roses Bourbon, this will be a night to remember.

 The Louies is an annual creative competition for the Louisville-area advertising industry, providing advertisers, students, web developers and everyone in between the opportunity to showcase their best work. Winning a Louie is the first step in the three-tiered American Advertising Awards, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation. The winners of the 2015 Louie competition will be announced and celebrated at the Louie Awards Gala in February.

 Judging for the 2015 Louies took place in two steps. The digital portion of the competition was judged remotely over the course of the holidays, and the remaining entries were judged in person at Interactive Media Lab in downtown Louisville. The esteemed digital judges were Burkey Belser of Greenfield/Belser Ltd., Zena Weist of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, Edwin Endlich of IMC2, and Erin Lynn Young of Slide UX. The onsite judges were Carlotta Stankiewicz of GSD&M, Paul Asao of Red Ball Brands, and Scott Lindsey of Abstract Explosion. Lindsey served as the bridge between the two groups, participating in both judging pools.

The winners are notified which of their entries will receive an award, but the level of the award – Gold, Silver, or Bronze – will be revealed at the gala. Each entry is also eligible to win special awards such as Best in Show, Judges’ Choice, and The One That Got Away. AAF-Louisville is proud to announce the following companies and schools as winners in the 2015 Louies.
