JOB SUMMARY

The account executive serves as the liaison between the agency and its clients.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

They are charged with facilitating two-way communication – first delivering goals and desires from clients to the agency and then plan/buy strategy from the agency back to the client.

Responsibilities

  1. Meet with clients to understand their marketing/advertising strategy and develop a clear understanding of their business, target audience and goals
  2. Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors and co-workers
  3. Facilitate two-way communication between client and agency teams
  4. Develop and lead client presentations
  5. Maintain client relations with regular updates on plans, buys and added value
  6. Manage client production sheets
  7. Deliver traffic to appropriate vendors
  8. Ensure that media invoices are billed and paid on a timely basis

Skills

  • A strong interest in media
  • Good understanding of all media types including digital
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Adept in communication in both verbal and written form
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in excel and advertising related software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to keeping up with trends in the ever changing media landscape

Education and Training

Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business, or other related field. Previous experience in Media Planning and Buying is a plus.

Experience:

Three to five years of experience of account executive experience.
