The Accounts Supervisor will help to lead the Account Service department for Mightily. This individual will have the potential to be promoted to the manage the account services department succeeding the current VP, Account Services over the next 12-24 months.
JOB DESCRIPTIONPrimary Responsibilities
The Account Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing relationship between the agency and clients by addressing their needs through direct contact and the utilization of agency resources. The Account Supervisor leads the account team as the manager for day-to-day agency activities for our clients and maintains a highly responsive service orientation in all transactions.
The Account Supervisor will serve as a mentor and resource to their Accounts Team on all client growth and management opportunities. He/she will also work with the Director of Account Services to develop strategies and opportunities for the department’s growth and expansion.
Account Service Effort
Provide thought leadership for Accounts Team in the area of client growth and relationship development.
Facilitate and drive effective use of agency systems and procedures by the Accounts Team including Basecamp, Float, Highrise, Product Development, Project Management and other platforms as appropriate.
Act as a “backstop” to ensure accounting procedures are followed and that all invoicing is done accurately and in a timely manner.
Gain a thorough understanding of client’s businesses and industries with the goal of growing the client/agency relationship.
Create and nurture relationships with key clients through regular formal and informal interactions.
Share responsibility for client retention with Account Executive, Account Managers, and Director of Account Services.
Proactively address client challenges with VP of Account Services
Growing Existing Agency Clients
Work with VP of Account Services and Business Development to generate strategically focussed business-building ideas for our existing clients.
Execute approved business-building strategies and tactics with the account team
Participate in major client presentations and make other internal client contacts that will strengthen the agency/client relationships.
New Business Development
Be able to communicate with a thorough knowledge of agency product information and agency services with clients.
Work with VP of Account Services on allocation of resources and workloads for AEs.
Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications, business, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of strong senior client management experience – preferably in an agency setting.
Exceptional people skills including the ability to manage competing agendas toward successful outcomes.
A track record of effective mentoring, training, and nurturing.
Excellent writing, editing, and public speaking skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative but very challenging environment.
Exemplary project management skills.
Ability to use alternative analytical approaches to solve digital/interactive/marketing opportunities.
