The Project Manager position is considered a key position, involved in many agency processes and interacting at the highest levels of the client and agency organization. As a primary member of the Account team, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of the project life ensure that the goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished with quality and within the prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.

Projects include both traditional and digital advertising, as well as branding, packaging, POS, direct mail, email, out of home, print and other collateral, CRM, TV, radio, and digital.

In addition to the project responsibilities, the Project Manager may be asked to help develop the Project Management teams’ best practices and processes. You must be strategic and collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for creating insightful, intelligent work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the team to complete RFPs project scope, size and price estimates
• Highly responsive, working side-by-side with the Accounts team anticipating and reacting to internal project needs.
• Consult with supervisor, internal teams and client (if applicable) to evaluate individual project needs and resources
• Collaborate with media team and other internal teams (Account, Traffic, Strategic Services, Editorial/Copy, and Creative) to develop appropriate solutions and deliverables across multiple disciplines
• Present deliverables to applicable team members for review and approval
• Develop applicable project documentation (eg, timeline, meeting notes, proposals, project plans, creative briefs, functional specs, use cases, user personas)
• Responsible for ensuring that all needed assets and resources are identified to successfully meet client expectations
• Develop and maintain all project deliverables, including project budgets, project plans, issues logs and change orders
• Drive project delivery through effective use of internal and client status meetings
• Manage and control project scope
• Assure that projects are completed according to the project timeline and within budget
• Conduct project team meetings and distribute meeting notes to the project team
• Manage the project financials, including weekly resource hours and overall project budget
• Ensure that all project documentation is produced in the standard format, follows internal documentation processes, and is reviewed and approved before delivery to the client
• Identify tools, templates, and techniques that evolve existing approaches
• Review and test all digital deliverables with keen attention to detail and quality

Desired Skills and Experience
• Solid understanding of project management methodology, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, and run team meeting
• Displays exceptional soft skills in managing work with internal and external teams
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet aggressive timelines
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Proven team-building skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to creatively solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience
• Experience in strategic planning and execution
• Strong, recent experience managing projects end-to-end (budgets, scheduling, etc.)
• In addition, ideal candidates will have hands-on integrated marketing experience
• Working knowledge of current digital technologies
• Solid understanding of information architecture, user experience and design principles
• Expert understanding of digital process and applicable digital deliverables (e.g., website, apps, HTML emails, ad banners)
• Ability to develop and implement SOPs and process
• Working knowledge of Internet-based solutions
• Ability to package digital deliverables for reviews (e.g., screenshots)
• Familiarity with software such as BaseCamp and Highrise
• Familiarity with project management concepts such as scheduling, budget maintenance and resource leveling

• A four-year degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 2-4 years of project management experience
• At least 2 years of experience managing digital projects, preferably in a consulting or agency environment
• Interactive marketing experience desired, preferably in an agency
• Knowledge of project management tools, best practices and processes
• Good financial and business management understanding and aptitude
• Willingness to fail or at least die trying
• High level of curiosity
• Must maintain an entrepreneurial mindset

This position reports to the Director of Client Services.
