Gorillas on the Line I Public Service Project
DUE TO CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
The Public Service Committee is working to reschedule this initiative for later this year. We will update this page once a new date has been confirmed.
The Public Service Committee is asking you to join our efforts as we partner up with Eco-Cell, in working to raise awareness about the impact small electronics have on gorillas and generate funds to protect gorillas in the wild. The mineral Coltan is found in phones and is mined where endangered gorillas live. You can play an important role and help by donating something everyone’s got laying around- an old cell phone! Represent your company by agreeing to accept a bin at your workplace location for old cell phones and small electronics to be donated.
This process is as simple as 1, 2, 3!
1. Download the poster
2. Attach it to a bin or recycled cardboard box
3. Encourage your co-workers to donate their old small electronics and the bin will be picked up at the end of April!
