American Advertising Federation-Louisville Names New Executive Director, Lauren Beckley
Area’s Oldest Membership Organization for Marketing, Advertising and Communications Professionals Names New Executive Director in Seasoned Industry Professional
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (December 1, 2017) – The American Advertising Federation (AAF) – Louisville has named a new Executive Director (E.D.), Lauren Beckley. With over 10 years of experience in the event marketing industry, working with some of the most well-known organizations in the Commonwealth, Lauren offers a seasoned, enthusiastic approach to one of the area’s oldest industry organizations.
“AAF-Louisville has found a perfect partner in Lauren Beckley as our new Executive Director,” said Meredith Wilkins, President of AAF-Louisville. “Lauren not only has an invaluable skillset and the right experience to spearhead the organization, but her passion for the industry and drive to exceed expectations will be a huge asset. We are thrilled to bring her on board.”
Before joining AAF-Louisville, Lauren served as Manager of Sponsorships & Products at Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI). In this role, Lauren’s responsibilities included managing the sponsorship and advertising programs, and securing sponsors and advertisers for GLI events, website, e-newsletter and other publications. Previous to working for GLI, Lauren served as the Director of Sponsorships for the Louisville International Open – WTA International Tournament, and previous to that role, she served as Manager of Partnership Development for Churchill Downs. She also spent seven years as Expositions Administrator, managing sponsorships and event marketing, for the Kentucky Exposition Center.
“For over 100 years, AAF-Louisville has served a membership consisting of representatives from all over Louisville’s growing advertising industry,” said Beckley. “I look forward to contributing to this legacy by helping the organization grow community relationships, reach strategic goals, and secure a foundation for continued growth and success.”
As the new E.D., Lauren will serve as the “face of AAF-Louisville” in the Greater Louisville community. Her key role is to build lasting relationships with current and potential sponsors as well as current and potential members. More specifically, the E.D. works with volunteer leadership to strategize and execute fundraising strategies, to grow and retain the membership, to ensure the smooth operation of the organization, to lead the membership in the execution of cultivation and stewardship procedures, and to oversee budgets and finances.
