Legislative Alert – KY HB 8

As you may have seen, The Kentucky House Appropriations and Revenue Committee passed HB 8, which would expand Kentucky’s 6% gross receipts sales and use tax base to 39 new services, including marketing and web design services.
The Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee may vote on the measure in the coming days, and the bill appears to be moving swiftly. We are asking our members and industry leaders to contact lawmakers and let them know we oppose any tax on marketing services. We have drafted a letter template that you can download and use in your communication.
