JOB SUMMARY

Hillerich & Bradsby is looking for a Creative Manager position that will play a significant role in telling the visual story of Hillerich & Bradsby Co.’s brands.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Creative Manager position will play a significant role telling the visual story of Hillerich & Bradsby Co.’s brands. These brands include Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, Barrels & Billets and Bionic Gloves. This will be done through the production of high-quality designs that will be used for museum exhibits, marketing materials, and more.

Essential Functions:

  • Fully develop high-quality, accurate designs and layouts for museum projects (including print collateral, print and outdoor advertising, quarterly members’ magazine, signage, exhibition graphics, web graphics and gallery labels) that align with our brand
  • Develop and manage project plans, identifying project purpose, needs, stakeholders, timelines, budgets, assets, and approvals. Communicate with outside vendors to ensure deadlines are met and executed
  • Knowledge of brand development, packaging design, in-store display, sales collateral, and social/influencer content strategy and creation
  • Ability to sell an idea both internally and externally
  • Create designs, including proofs for approval, to be used on full-size and mini-bats for special events and promotions at the museum and Slugger Gifts
  • Assist with events for all H&B brands
  • Have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Agency experience is a plus

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in a variety of design tools and software, including Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and MS Office
  • Strong typographic skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively among museum team
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • A team player who responds well to constructive feedback
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal
