Indiana University Southeast, the premier four-year institution in the region, seeks a Marketing Specialist. Successful candidate will command traditional marketing skills, while exhibiting a strong digital focus, and demonstrate creativity across platforms. The Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. Primary responsibility is marketing the University to prospective students regionally, primarily through digital and other media, and managing projects from conception to delivery.
JOB DESCRIPTIONMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, multimedia journalism or a related field or equivalent.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in marketing, with a concentration in digital marketing (higher education experience a plus).
Command of marketing in the digital space. Strong experience in creating and executing digital campaigns in search, display advertising, e-mail, and social media.
Experience in digital media purchasing and/or managing relationships with digital media vendors.
Command of metrics to measure ROI, including Google Analytics and other tools.
Experience with video, including storytelling and integration into digital platforms.
Strong writing skills across media platforms, including print, social and Web.
Advanced computer skills.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to respect timelines and manage budget.
Highly developed communication skills, successfully demonstrated in effectively working with a wide variety of people in both individual and group settings.
Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Ability to lift 20 pounds.
Sedentary work: sitting for extended periods.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and execute digital campaigns in search, display advertising, e-mail, and social media, monitor and analyze data. Research and recommend digital and traditional advertising purchases for new student recruitment. Co-manage eventual vendor relationships in the digital space.
Conceptualize, write, and/or edit copy for campus constituents as part of the departmental writing team. Edit or rewrite copy for tone, style, content, grammar, accuracy, completeness, institutional image, alignment with marketing-plan objectives, market research findings and state and federal regulatory compliance.
Assist in website content development for the purpose of marketing to prospective students, families, the community and beyond.
Participate in Marketing and Communications joint brainstorming and project development. Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of a strategic integrated marketing plan.
Create audio, video and photography for TV, radio, and internet marketing of the university.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
