JOB SUMMARY: WAVE 3 News has an immediate opening for a great visual storyteller. We're looking for a Photographer/Editor who can contribute to the entire storytelling process - whether solo or as part of a team.

ABOUT WAVE: WAVE 3 News is the NBC affiliate for Louisville, KY. We are Kentucky's first television station, and we lead the way in connecting the people of WAVE Country. We offer nearly 50 hours of local television news per week, 40 hours of live programming in the field throughout the week of the Kentucky Derby, and much more coverage on our web, mobile, OTT and social channels throughout the year.
Our goals for every news story: make our viewers smarter, make them laugh or cry, and make our community better.

JOB SUMMARY:

Daily duties will include collaboration with reporters, gathering news elements alone, operating live equipment, and working with producers to edit video for newscasts. Photographers are an integral part of WAVE 3 News, and we respect the broad contributions they make.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Shoot and edit video as assigned
* Edit video for newscasts
* Gather and submit information and visuals for digital platforms
* Execute live shots using Microwave ENG and LiveU technology
* Contribute to entire editorial process, including sourcing, enterprising, gathering, story construction, and
presentation

Requirements
* At least one-year newsroom experience
* Two- or four-year college degree
* Experience with Edius, JVC ENG cameras, Microwave ENG trucks, Live U, and Zixi are all helpful
* Ability to work various shifts and serve on call as assigned
* Clean driving record
