As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, this team member will work closely with key stakeholders in Government Relations to identify communications priorities that advance Kindred’s legislative and regulatory priorities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a Contract Position for our Support Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Summary:
As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, this team member will work closely with key stakeholders in Government Relations to identify communications priorities that advance Kindred’s legislative and regulatory priorities, develop innovative and engaging content – ranging from coordinated campaigns to one-off posts/responses – to support those goals, lead the day-to-day tactical implementation of approved social content on Kindred’s policy-focused channel(s), and support related monitoring of social responses/mentions. This individual also will work collaboratively with members of the Marketing and Communications team to develop successful social media strategies and social content for enterprise social channels that communicates/advances the value proposition of Kindred and its various lines of business, as well as highlights the company’s commitment to and progress in fields related to corporate responsibility, culture, Inclusion and Equity, employee spotlights, patient success stories, and other traditional corporate social responsibility topics.
Essential Functions:
Interfaces with key internal stakeholders to establish, maintain and drive social editorial calendar for government relations and other corporate responsibility topics.
Conceptualizes, writes, edits, coordinates design, obtains approvals, and publishes high-quality social media content designed to advance Kindred’s legislative and regulatory priorities, and enhance Kindred’s corporate reputation.
Monitors daily various media tools for possible information that may be related to key government relations or corporate interests/initiatives.
Ability to work with multiple systems simultaneously and draw conclusions from multiple data sources.
Identifies trends and insights and recommends actions.
Presents updates along with Dir Social Media, Sr Director Enterprise Communications and Sr Director Communications and Public Policy, to departmental VPs and above to share progress/results.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Working knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other prominent social media platforms.
Familiarity with common social media listening/scheduling/publishing platforms. Experience and certification with Sprinklr preferred.
Knowledge of creating listening topics and related responses within a social media monitoring/publishing platform.
Ability to maintain a high level of discretion regarding confidential and proprietary data.
Ability to support projects, ensuring that projects are clearly defined, systematically executed, and results oriented. Adherence to Project Management processes and standards within the organization are required.
Capable of working independently and delivering appropriate and timely feedback to management and team members as required.
Strong desire to learn and teach.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Political Science or relevant field required.
Minimum of 2-4 years proven work experience managing social media channels, and deep understanding of corporate social media best practices.
Experience working in a highly regulated industry is preferred.
Excellent copywriting skills with direct experience in content development/management.
Ability to effectively communicate vision/needs for images, infographics, and videos to graphic designers, video editors, and other creative professionals. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Proven analytical ability, including using data to demonstrate reach/impact/effectiveness of social media efforts to internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of online marketing channels and familiarity with design concepts for web/social content.
Demonstrated understanding or interest in U.S. politics, including legislative process and staffing structures, regulatory agencies, etc.
Experience in healthcare industry or governmental/regulatory agency preferred, but not required.
